Newark International Airport may be notorious for its long lines, but according to a new report, it also has come healthy food options at its restaurants. (Associated Press)

When you fly during the holidays (or any time of the year for that matter) do you give up hope trying to eat healthfully?  When you haven't packed your own meal or snack, sometimes the only option is airport food.

A new report that came out just in time for the beginning of the holiday travel season, showed us some of the airports with the best options if you must resort to buying.  At the top of the list was Newark Liberty International Airport (in New Jersey) where 92% of the restaurants served "at least one low-fat, high-fiber, cholesterol-free breakfast, lunch, or dinner entrée."  At the bottom of the list was the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (in Georgia) where only 58% of restaurants served such a meal.

What we are interested in and what we think YOU will find most helpful is knowing which restaurants are serving up the healthy options and what those options are.  That way, you can make a better choice when you are at the airport whether traveling for the holiday or otherwise.

Here is a look at three airports and what they offer:

Newark Liberty International Airport
Mediterranean Bistro: falafel sandwich
Market Fresh: Hummus wrap
Hamachi Sushi: seaweed salad, cucumber rolls, vegetable rolls, asparagus rolls, vegetable gyoza, and yakko tofu at
Qdoba Mexican Grill: grilled veggie burrito

Las Vegas McCarran International Airport
360 Gourmet: the smoked tofu, broccoli, and mushroom burrito
Home Turf Sports Bar and Fresh Attractions: vegan wrap with hummus

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport
