TIP: If snack time for you translates to chips, candy, cakes, cookies, and packaged goods , then try calling it something different.  If it is a mid-morning meal, call it that.  Or try "first lunch".  A mid-afternoon meal could be "second lunch".  This triggers our mind to think of creating a more balanced meal rather than snack-y foods.
